Urge NH Health & Human Services to end 1:1 practitioner/patient limit for Acupuncturists
Urge NH Health & Human Services to end 1:1 practitioner/patient limit for Acupuncturists
Why this petition matters
Last week the Governor, the Director of Health and Human Services and the NH Reopening Task Force gave the okay for acupuncture clinics to resume business in the Granite State starting June 1. Unfortunately, that green light quickly turned red for many NH acupuncture clinics.
What it looks like: last minute amendments to the re-opening guidelines inserted by NH Health & Human Services created a bewildering restriction that effectively limits acupuncturists to treat no more than one patient at a time. This 1:1 restriction has not appeared in any other state re-opening guidelines in the country. Unfortunately, it does not allow community clinics like Manchester Acupuncture Studio to meet basic operating expenses, should we re-open.
This 1:1 requirement keeps access from patients at a pivotal time; one when commonly managed ailments such as chronic pain, anxiety and insomnia are front and center.
Let the NH Health & Human Services decision-makers know you feel your trusted NH-based licensed acupuncturists are capable of managing more than 1 patient at a time within spacious treatment spaces, in a safe manner consistent with current national professional standards. Help us bring your acupuncture treatments back at MAS and beyond.
