Recently I finished watching Kihachi Okamoto's 1967 film The Sword of Doom. It may be one of my favorite samurai films however I fear the title is a bit lacking, so I've turned to the all encompassing power of petition to change the name to the apt The Asshole Samurai. Any fan of The Sword of Doom is surely aware why this new title is more fitting, however I also believe this new title would serve three distinct purposes: 1. more people would watch this film because The Asshole Samurai is objectively a better name, 2. it will encourage studios and/or filmmakers to give cooler names to their products, and 3. it would make me happy.
