Thumb Industries, Inc. has been providing recycling services to the residents of Huron County since 2009.  Since the inception of our recycling program, our organization has kept over 13 million pounds of recyclable materials out of our local landfill.

Unfortunately the prices of commodities have drastically reduced (over 50%) over the last two years.  Thumb Industries can no longer continue to provide this valuable service, along with the level of service that we have provided to the county in the past without assistance or consideration of other funding.

Our agency continues to work with our county commissioners in order to determine ways to fund this service in the future.  If you feel recycling is a valuable service and would like to see it continue in Huron County, please sign a petition at any of Thumb Industries locations or contact your county commissioner.
