Why this petition matters

Started by Scott Greenlee

Mo Gaba is a resident of Glen Burnie, MD and is well known by Orioles and Ravens players and fans alike.  Mo has been blind since he was 9 months old. He has already beaten cancer three times and is currently on his fourth battle.  Mo came to fame when he started calling Baltimore sports radio shows and lending his knowledge to listeners.

He has become nationally known this year, as he is the first person to read an NFL draft pick written in Braille at the young age of 13.  Mo has been an inspiration to the community with his love for his Baltimore sports teams, but also with his positive and can do attitude.  Baltimore loves Mo and he needs to be forever cherished and remembered.

I'm writing this petition urging Mayor Bernard Young and The City of Baltimore to rename the portion of West Lee Street that is located between Camden Yards and M&T Bank Stadium.  I think this would be a wonderful way to honor Mo Gaba and it would be right between the two teams he loves dearly.
