Why this petition matters

Started by Andrew Gardiner

The current QLD Labor government are denying consumers their right to energy efficient air conditioning (Hydrocarbon Refrigerant, supported by the Australian Standards).

• Using hydrocarbon refrigerants saves about a third off the running costs of air conditioning, all while improving system performance and lifespan.
• Sydney based manufacturer Pioneer Air are currently prohibited from selling their compliant certified air conditioners to prospective QLD customers.
• The Australian Standards outline the safety requirements for it.
• Training is available to technicians to safely work with it.
• The current ban means people are converting systems and not labelling them accordingly, putting future technicians at risk in not knowing what they're dealing with.
• The QLD government has banned it. They say they haven't but are lying by leaving out critical information.
• What's the hold up!?

Sign the petition! If that doesn't work, make sure you put Labor last at the QLD state elections on October 31.
