Save Our Waterfront Park
Concerned Northfield Township Citizens
 
We are concerned residents of Northfield Township who support the Park & Recreation Board’s position that at least 12 acres (plus the beachfront) be set aside for our “Community Park”.  
 
We oppose any attempt to sell off the majority of our waterfront property. 

The Board of Trustees is now negotiating to sell 80% of the park for a housing development leaving less than four acres for a beach and park and leaves almost no land for parking or commercial growth.  

This does not fit the Township Master Plan, the Downtown Strategic Action Plan or the North Village Plan.

We urge the Board to "Hit the Pause Button" and stop negotiating to sell our park at the ridiculously low price of $750,000 for 17 acres of waterview property.  

Do a better job of community outreach and follow our plans.  There is no hurry.  You only get one chance to get this right.  We deserve better!
