The Viper has now changed ownership and is at the point where the new owners can take action to change what is one of the most traditional public houses in the UK. For over 100 years this pub has been a destination for thirsty walkers, their four-legged companions, cyclists, and many events to bring in the crowds including the beer festival. Being set in picturesque woodlands and only minutes from Ingatestone this is a prime spot for development. Therefore this petition aims to prevent the worst and secure a positive future for The Viper.

Within the last couple of months, the building has become Grade 2 listed and this petition sets to reinforce this listing and keep The Viper as the Viper in as many ways as possible.
