COVID-19 originated in a filthy, unhygienic live animal or ‘wet’ market in Wuhan, China. The virus crossed from animal to human from either an infected bat or pangolin. The SARS epidemic of 2003 began in China in a similar way, probably from human ingestion of an infected bat. Cross contamination from infected camels to humans started the MERS epidemic in the Middle East.

If we don’t shut down these markets and bring a halt to these types of animal containment and slaughter, another more deadly pandemic is bound to occur.

We must urge the world’s governments and WHO to bring an end to these activities.
