At such a critical time in all our lives, being segregated from family and loved ones, we expect nothing less than for our leaders and trusted members of government to stand by not only our communities, but also the advice and guidance we are all expected to follow. However, the Scottish Chief Medical Officer, Catherine Calderwood, has taken a conscious decision to breach these guidelines; as a member of the public, if we were found to be doing this we could face fines in excess of £600, however Calderwood has simply been allowed to apologise and this has been considered enough. Well it is NOT - she should be asked to resign as her more than many others should understand the importance of these guidelines.
