The animals at the Franklin County Animal Shelter desperately need our help. Staffing at the shelter and possibly even moral, compassion and empathy seem to be at an all time low there. Because of these circumstances, animals are not receiving proper care. They are spending long hours in kennels with no interaction, kennels are soiled, proper vet care is not provided, adoption and volunteer hours are very limited, animals being euthanized unnecessarily, very little effort to get these animals seen and adopted to responsible pet owners and there is no teamwork between the rescues, staff and public volunteers. 

We are requesting that the advisory committee be put back into place. This committee could and would be the eyes, ears and advocates for the animals and employees. We desperately need this, just as we desperately need to form bonds and partnerships between rescues, staff, volunteers, administrators and citizens. 

These animals deserve the best care possible. They live, they breath, they have feelings and they are more loyal than most people you know.
