Why this petition matters

Started by Breana Narain

Haiti is currently in a time of chaos due to President Jovenel Moise refusing to leave office, which has erupted mass violence throughout the country. Women and young girls are being kidnapped, gang-raped, and killed. The police aren’t well-equipped to handle the violence and are dying as anger and rage boil over the streets.

As a country that believes in democracy and human rights, Biden should send US forces to Haiti and interfere, as many lives will be saved. President Biden should also enforce protection for Haitian immigrants in the U.S. right now and pause deportation, as going back to Haiti will be fatal.

I strongly urge you to support this cause even if you don’t have family in Haiti right now because many families are being torn apart. As the United States interfered with foreign countries in the past to protect them from violence, the United States, along with the United Nations, should come together to free Haiti from this massacre.

(As each goal is met, the number signatures needed will continue to increase from 100 to 200, 200 to 300, and so on. The overall goal is to acquire millions of signatures so that we gain attention and can make a change.)
