Justice for Israel Monte Jackson:
By now you have probably heard the stories of Malcolm Harsch and Robert Fuller, two black men found hanging from trees just outside of Los Angeles last week, and an as-yet unnamed black man found hanging from a tree in New York City on June 9. On April 26, in a hauntingly similar event, 20-year old Israel Monte Jackson was found hanging from a tree in Roanoke, Virginia. Just like the other three cases, the local police conducted very little investigation before ruling the death a suicide. Despite the family’s ongoing efforts, they have been unsuccessful in getting local authorities to conduct a complete and thorough investigation or in garnering media attention to spotlight the mysterious and suspicious circumstances of Israel’s death.
We demand #JusticeForIsraelJackson.
Please help bring closure to Israel’s family by contacting the appropriate authorities to demand a real investigation of the circumstances surrounding Israel Monte Jackson’s death, no matter where the investigation may lead.
