Save Our Seine is THE organization that looks after the 26 mile urban Seine River and it greenway within the City of Winnipeg. Without the funding to Save Our Seine, the Seine River will become a murky mess. For residents, businesses, and golf courses, you property values will go down. For walkers, runners, cyclists, people who enjoy nature, the beauty of the river walk and the cleared trails will be affected. At this time of climate crisis and children and adults  with nature deficits, we need to be preserving this important greens space. 

SOS receives $30,000 annually to partially pay our only year-round part-time staff  (our Exec Director) and uses this money to leverage 2.5x the amount annually for programs to clean-up, preserve, protect, provide access and provide education. We are called upon regularly with the City to provide advice on development and environmental issues. We are partners with the City of Winnipeg
