The other day my husband and I were walking our pig who we’ve had going on 3 1/2 years now when an animal control officer came up to us and stopped us stating that he believes we are not allowedto own our pig because he is livestock. I have live in the town of Santa Paula for 2 1/2 years not hiding Chewie at all, cops have seen him and I have a photo of Chewie with a different officer with no issue, he didn’t seem to even believe me or felt the need to look at the photo. He seemed to not even care what I had to say on the matter. The officer then came to our house this morning saying I have 2 weeks to relocate my animal which I don’t want to do. I plan to fight for my pig anyway possible. I have no children he is all I have and I refuse to let a officer who acted like he didn’t care what I had to say tell me that my ESA isn’t a true ESA and that he has not rights in the city. I am pleading for help in hopes to simply keep my little guy at home, the only home he’s ever known. He stated that there is no permit even though we did see that there is one
