Why this petition matters

Started by Darren Conway

We restaurant and small business owners must stick together thru this shut down period from COVID-19 (coronavirus). The Government has asked us to shut down and suspend business, which will not only effect all owners but also our employees and their families. We now are asking for you, the government, to help us in relieving us of our PAYROLL & SALES TAX FOR THE ENTIRE YEAR OF 2020. This will help us offset costs and allow us to pay employees as well as giving us fund to reopen when we are able to. This will allow us to buy goods, pay rent, rehire if need and get out places back up and running. We ask that you not wait to do this. We ask that you act immediately to help relive stress and anxiety that so many of us are facing. This was not our decision to shut down, however we complied knowing the circumstances it could have on the ppl around us. Please put yourselves in our shoes and show the ppl of not only NJ but around the United States, that you all care and take your position in office to take care of the ppl who voted you in.
