Why this petition matters

Started by Erica MD

LOVE IS NOT TOURISM. This is not just about a summer holiday or sight seeing, it is about mental health and the future of people all around the world.

We as international lovers and families, urge governments to amend their travel restrictions. Allow the unbureaucratic and safe reunion of partners in long distance relationships as well as family members.

We are willing to submit or do whatever it takes to be with the ones we love. We are willing to pay for and take swab tests before flights and/or after we land in the Philippines. We will pay for the quarantine facility until we have results.

This in a way could also help the economy in the Philippines. People from other countries will be bringing money into the Philippines. Money can be made from the swab test, money can be made from the quarantine facilities, and airlines would profit as well.

An example can be taken from Denmark's model for excemptions they are as follows:

  • Take COVID-19 precautions: test <72hours before departure, or 14 day quarantine or swab test on arrival
  • Documents: Proof of relationship ex:photos, messages/emails. Declaration of Relationship

Countries that have lift bans for unmarried couples:

DENMARK, NORWAY, NETHERLANDS, CZECH REPUBLIC, ICELAND, GERMANY, SWITZERLAND, AUSTRIA, FINLAND, FRANCE, SPAIN, ITALY, CANADA, SINGAPORE, LITHUANIA. .. many more will soon follow suit. Please add the Philippines to this list.

Please allow us be with our loved ones, especially in a time like this where being with the ones we hold dearest is so very important, and for some all we have at this moment. Love is essential love is not tourism.

Because Love knows no borders and no political parties
