Miradil Hasan is an Uyghur Man who recently spoke out against the Chinese Communist Party’s treatment of Uyghur’s. In some recent testimonial videos, he gave a full layout of his experiences in East Turkestan, and confirmed our worst fears about concentration camps, organ harvesting, forced labor, forced marriages, and much more. After seeing his story, we at Uyghur Man, an advocacy group for Justice and the voiceless Uyghur’s decided to pick up his story. 

One day during one of our livestreams, he showed up and asked to get in contact with someone from the United States. After exchanging information with him, he contacted me, Shadman Mahmut, directly. He agreed to do an interview with me to get his voice out there and to testify against the Chinese Communist Party’s horrible treatment of Uyghur’s. He also sadly informed us that he had been homeless for 2 years, because as an Uyghur he was unable to get a job in mainland China. He was unable to rent out a hotel or place to stay, because Uyghur’s are discriminated against in every way possible. He is an educated man that went to University and studied English & Political Science. To even make contact with us, he had to use a VPN, because services such as YouTube are banned in China.

Miradil knew that by contacting me, and releasing videos on YouTube, he would have a target on his head by the Chinese Communist Party. On our last day of contact, 09/06/2020, he alluded to the fact that any day now he might get caught by the police. His last words to me were “I wanna have lunch now. See you later.” Before this, he had agreed to do another discussion on an livestream, answering questions from other Uyghur’s outside China who were really concerned about his condition. On the day of the livestream, he did not answer any of our messages or phone calls. This led us to suspect that he was found out. Later on, on 09/10/2020, we got some Chinese insider information about his arrest. We assume that he is either now in jail, or more likely he has been taken to a concentration camp. 

We are truly concerned about his safety, and the fact of his disappearance has hurt many of us in the Uyghur community. Even one of our most famous Uyghur leaders, we call her mother(Rebya Kadeer), tweeted out urging the international community to inquire from the Chinese government on the condition of Miradil Hasan. 

We are pleading with people all over the world to sign this petition, so that we may ask the United Nations, US Senate, and President Donald Trump to inquire into the situation of Miradil Hasan. When speaking with Miradil, I promised that I would do everything in my power to assist him. As a Justice Believer, I gave my word, and by creating this petition I’m taking it one step further in order to secure his freedom. We want to know his whereabouts. We want to know that he is safe.
