WE DEMAND JUSTICE FOR MARVIN HAYNES!

Marvin Haynes was falsely incarcerated at 16 years old in Minnesota and spent 16 years in prison for a crime that evidence shows he did not commit. Marvin's case is a tragic example of our broken justice system where prosecutors and investigators used eyewitness misidentification, investigator's misconduct, negligence, and inadequate/ineffective assistance to extract guilt from an innocent minor.

Marvin Haynes was wrongfully convicted of murder and sentenced to life in prison in a case where there were no fingerprints, DNA, weapons, nor physical evidence indicating that Marvin had any involvement in the crime. Marvin is a victim of the leading cause of wrongful convictions eyewitness misidentification. A murder took place in a Minnesota local business where a staff member was able to escape and call 911 and describe the suspect as an African American male, thin built, the early 20s, 5'10"-5'11", 180 pounds, with short-cropped hair. Later identifying a suspect as the shooter, however, the suspect identified was never charged in connection with this crime. Although Marvin did not match the description of the suspect, as he was 16 years old, 5'6", 145 pounds, with an afro about 4 inches in length Marvin become a suspect. Fingerprints recovered from the crime scene even excluded Marvin as a suspect in this crime. Marvin's case deserves a fair review and we're calling attention to the misconduct, fabrication of evidence, false testimony, and the manipulation of eyewitness identification that resulted in Marvin being wrongfully convicted. An eyewitness even admitted to misidentifying Marvin as the suspect and other witnesses testified to being intimidated, threaten, and coerce. Credible witnesses who could have provided testimony to Marvin's whereabouts during the time of the crime were never brought to court to testify. Will you stand with us in the pursuit of justice for Marvin Haynes?
