One of the best things about the Wattpad app was the ability to have unlimited stories accessible in one's library, even when one was offline. Wattpad claims that by limiting unpaid users to three offline stories, they're saving device storage, but let's be honest--Wattpad stories really don't eat that much memory, anyway. If someone wants to have a story in their library without offline access, power to them, but unlimited offline stories shouldn't be a paid feature--especially since we're bombarded with so many in-app ads now. Not all of us have constant internet access, and in many places, mobile data is expensive. We want to be able to access our stories everywhere we go, even when we don't have a stable internet connection or have to be judicious with our data usage.

I've been a proud part of the Wattpad community for six years, and an active writer there for much of that period. It's so disheartening to see the quality of the site continue to go downhill recently. There's other issues Wattpad needs to address, but let's focus on getting back our ability to have unlimited offline stories in the meantime.
