( please read this! ) When rapists and other sexual offenders commit corrective rape, gang rape, acquaintance rape, or child sex abuse, they deserve more than just two and a half years in prison. they deserve to be immediately put on death row or put into prison for the rest of their lifetime, no bail. They do not deserve the opportunity to be let out early on good behavior. But they are.
How can the victims feel safe if they know that their rapist will be walking the streets again in just two years, and not only have the opportunity to attack them again but also to attack others?

Such a short sentence is unjust. People are sent to jail for up to fifteen years just for the possession of marijuana. Think about that for a moment. Rapists are sent to jail for a fraction of those years for physically and emotionally TRAUMATIZING a human being for life.

Though armed rape already has a longer sentence time, any other form of rape should also have longer prison sentences whether the victim does or does not choose to press charges. RAPISTS NEEDS TO BE PUT IN PRISON, NOT JAIL. it doesn't matter if they're a minor or a celebrity, or maybe someone that has money to bail themselves out of this sticky situation. justice needs to be served, that's why I'm writing this petition for people to sign.

By increasing jail time, the rape subculture of victim-shaming and sexist assumptions would be eliminated. Corrective rape would not be acceptable. Victim-blaming would not exist. It is not the fault of the victim.
By signing our petition, you’re showing your support of the victims of sexual abuse. You agree that rapists should be sentenced for longer than two and a half years. You agree that they should not be allowed to be let out early on good behavior. You are signing this petition to protect the others from getting sexually assaulted again by the same rapist.

Share this with your socials, please. let's hype this up and get help those victims who aren't speaking up yet. let's support one another! this should be applicable to all countries. females/males should be charged as well for rape or sexual assault towards their partners, parents, siblings, friends, neighbors, strangers, etc. despite their age, race, or mental illnesses. rape is rape. celebrities too shall be put in prison. other than that, people who are raped or sexually assaulted must report their case to the local police. it should be an ordinance. where every country must have a rape, sexual assault, physical assault, mental assault hotline especially made for victims. let's make this happen! and chip some money on this petition to get this petition on its full potential. sharing does help.
