Why this petition matters
Dear Residents of HHI & The Lowcountry,
5G is not "just" the next generation! We live on an island. Weather reporting is fundamental to our survival. "Weather forecasters around the world are warning that new 5G phone networks could affect their predictions and put lives at stake. The concerns raised by meteorologists in Europe and the US revolve around the new networks' reliance on radio frequencies which clash with those already in use by forecasters.... 5G networks are expected to use the same frequency as water vapor to transmit data, meaning forecasters would find it impossible to tell the difference between rain" and the 5G signals. ~ newshub.co.nz
"The way 5G is being introduced could seriously compromise our ability to forecast major storms," Tony McNally of the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts in Reading told The Guardian. "In the end it could make the difference between life and death. We are very concerned about this." ~ newshub.co.nz
Our U.S. government gave cell phone companies the legislation go-ahead (years ago) with no real facts to base their decisions, in regards to our health and livelihood. There are TOO many unknowns!! "The Town" of HHI made their final decision (October 15th) on allowing 5G ordinances to operate in our community, as the vote was unanimous the last time it was on the docket :(

Never mind that property values are reportedly dropping up to 20%, as small cells are being placed every 2-10 home in residential neighorhoods.
Please join me in telling the Hilton Head's Town Council to at least postpone, if not band the use of 5G devices entirely on Hilton Head. Thank you!
