Bring back the Supa Dupa Tuba Cheer to CU men's basketball home games
Why this petition matters
College sports are full of tradition in a unique and powerful way. While the desire to update and evolve the game day experience is logical, the traditional elements must be maintained.
At home games for the University of Colorado basketball, one of those traditions is when the tubas from the pep band parade onto the court during one timeout, and play hide n seek, follow the leader, tag, and spinning until they fall over (falling very rarely occurs). All while performing the traditional Tuba Cheer, thus transforming it into the Supa Dupa Tuba Cheer. This year, to the chagrin of many of us fans, the SDTC was removed from men's basketball games in one of these efforts to "refresh" the game day experience.
We, the undersigned, request that the SDTC not be one of those elements up for refreshing. That it be added back to the basketball games ASAP. And that we once again celebrate the band and the majesty of college sports.
