Choose lives over football.

It's simple. The government have said they will not test teachers or children unless they are showing symptoms. Yet they know children are more often asymptomatic than not. They have said no PPE is needed and children can be in classes of up to 15. According to most media sources they are at the same time trying to get footballers to have tests twice a week. How can the government justify testing footballers to apparently boost morale and put the lives of children and their families in danger? They have so clearly proved that they value the money the Premier League brings over the publics health and life, and that of their children.

Schools cannot guarantee the safety of children because the government would rather allow the footballers to have the PPE and tests.

Stop talk of any sport until you can safely get children back, or that you have put in as many safety precautions as you can which have not done yet.

The fact that the government have said social distancing is not needed shows they know that it is impossible to do so. So rather than find solutions they have said it is not needed. Yet it is needed for football teams and for players. As you have not shown any scientific data to show that children do not pass it on, fix that before sport. Morale is important but remember not everyone likes football and most value life over it.

We want schools open to everyone as soon as possible but we want to ensure as much safety as we can for children, school staff and the people at home they will inevitably pass anything on to. Please remember, schools are open for some children and staff are working hard - including those working from home.
