The Problem:

Since time imemorial, whenever someone needed placeholder text, they've turned to the same material: Lorem Ipsum.

"But what is Lorem Ipsum?", you ask.

I'll tell you:

Nothing. It is absolutely nothing. Lorem Ipsum is a latin-sounding, but actually meaningless nonsensical blabber text used to fill in the spaces of a page layout or other text-clad mock-up. It's been used by all marketing agencies and graphic designers around the world, and instances of it can readily be found all around the web.

The Solution:

What I propose here is, instead of using a text that has no meaning, we should use something that fits in and reflects the nature of our modern society. Preferably something that is fun to read, too.

So I put forth as a candidate The Tragedy of Lord Plagueis The Wise:

"Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise? I thought not. It's not a story the Jedi would tell you. It's a Sith legend. Darth Plagueis was a Dark Lord of the Sith, so powerful and so wise he could use the Force to influence the midichlorians to create life… He had such a knowledge of the dark side that he could even keep the ones he cared about from dying. The dark side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself."

Not only is this masterfully crafted piece a significant and memorable part of modern culture, it is also an important Aesop in the form of a cautionary tale.

I believe that, by substituting the usage of Lorem Ipsum for Darth Plagueis, we will in a small way, make the world a better place to live.
