Bu on Ecosia is a student-led organization to make Ecosia the Default search engine at Boston University. this means that when you log into a BU computer in Mugar and open your favorite form of the internet when you search instead of the current default, Google, Ecosia will be used to run your search.

Ecosia is a search engine, just like google, however, they use over half of their revenue they receive they use to plant native trees all over the world where it will most benefit communities. So far Ecosia has planted over 76 million trees through its search engine. 

On average 45 searches through Ecosia plants another tree, although planting a tree with your searches is not going to single-handedly save the planet from Climate change it is a small change we can make in order to help make the world a better palce.
