Soheil Arabi is a political prisoner and atheist which is being tortured and imprisoned for 7 years because of some face book posts, has continued his hunger strike since April 4th 2020.

Political prisoner Soheil Arabi is in horrible health conditions due severe pain caused by “blunt trauma” and infection in the body ,frequent coughs and low blood pressure because of his previous hunger strike which has started since march 16 and after 10 days forced to use serum .

Soheil Arabi had continued his hunger strike after using serum for 9 days on April 4th due to lack of medical cares and not being granted leave to himself and other political prisoners due to the outbreak of corona in prison. 

This is while no physicians remain in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary and the prisoner’s inquiries to get medicines have got nowhere. Prison authorities do not account for the life and health of prisoners and want to kill them silently.

He needs treatment and surgery due to a physical injury and severe pain but has been denied medical treatment.

He has been told that all the expenses of hospital should be paid by himself due to the fact that he has been tortured by Islamic Revolutionary guards agents. 

In light of low hygiene in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary, the large number of prisoners and the spread of Coronavirus in prison, the life of political prisoners, detained in this prison are in danger.

Prison authorities have repeatedly prevented treatment of Soheil Arabi to add to his suffering in prison and get him killed silently.

In April 2019, he was beaten up in prison and suffering physical damage.

His illness has aggravated after nine months of denial of medical care. Infection has spread in his body and he has severe pain.

Soheil Arabi explains about his illness: “After writing and publishing an article about the conditions of prisoners detained in ward 1 of the Greater Tehran Penitentiary, I was transferred to Ward 1A of the IRGC Sarallah Garrison. The interrogator there got mad after asking a few questions and kicked me hard in the testicles. When I came to, I was in Firouzabadi Hospital. The physician told me that I had suffered a blunt trauma for which I must be operated on as soon as possible to remove my left testicle. After eight months, however, I have not been sent to hospital. Infection has spread to other parts of my body and I feel severe pain in the legs.”

On January 21, Soheil Arabi rejected the pressures by the Intelligence Ministry to express remorse for his recent statements condemning the killing of innocent people on the ground and in air by the Islamic Regime’s Revolutionary Guards and Khamenei’s plainclothes agents. He was subsequently sent from Evin Prison to exile in the Greater Tehran Penitentiary.

Soheil Arabi was arrested and sentenced to death in 2013 after criticizing Islam and prophet of Islam in his face book page and weblog.

After the appeal, he was sentenced to 7.5 years imprisonment and when it was finished, they sentenced him 3.5 years more imprisonment and exile.

   جان سهیل عربی به دلیل اعتصاب غذا به دلیل عدم ارائه درمان لازم به واسطه عفونت در خطر است.

سهیل عربی طی پیغامی از زندان تهران بزرگ، در حالی که همچنان به دلیل اعتصاب غذای قبلی خود از سرم استفاده می کند، از سرگیری اعتصاب غذای مجدد خود را از روز ۱۶ فروردین ماه ۹۹ اعلام کرد

 

 زندانی سیاسی محبوس در زندان تهران بزرگ اعلام کرد به دلیل نقض حقوق خودش و باقی زندانیان سیاسی، ظلم مضاعف مسئولین جمهوری اسلامی و بد عهدی مسئولان مجددا اعتصاب غذای خود را از سر گرفت.

 

سهیل عربی پیش تر در تاریخ ۲۶ اسفندماه به دلیل عدم رسیدگی پزشکی به وی و همچنین ندادن مرخصی به خود و باقی زندانیان سیاسی به دلیل شیوع بیماری کرونا در زندان، دست به اعتصاب غذا زده بود که با وعده های مسئولین پس از ۱۰ روز به اعتصاب غذای خود با دریافت سرم به مدت ۹ روز پایان داده بود.

 

پیام سهیل از زندان بزرگ:

 

از سرگیری اعتصاب،به دلیل نقض حقوق خود، ظلم مضاعف و بد عهدی مسئولانمن مرتکب جرمی نشدم. وظیفه خبرنگار بیان واقعیت و انعکاس مشکلات مردم بالاخص دردمندان جامعه است. و من فقط انجام وظیفه کردم و صدای ستم دیدگان بودم. بی بی عدالتی ها اعتراض کردم. تمام اتهامات واهی بوده مثل فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام مثل تشویش اذهان عمومی و بازجویی ها تحت شکنجه و اکراه اخذ شده و حتی اجازه دفاع در دادگاه به من داده نشده است. در بند الف ۱، قرارگاه ثارلله به شدت مورد ضرب و شتم قرار گرفتم و از ناحیه بیضه دچار تروما شدم و هنوز پس از گذشت ماه ها، درمان نشدم و درد شدیدی را تحمل می کنم.من پدر هستم و دلتنگ فرزند خود. من انسان هستم و قفس آزارم می دهد.دلایلی بهتر برای اعتصاب غذا پیدا نمی شود. با توجه به اینکه بارها نامه نگاری کردم و از شنیدن وعده های دروغ خسته ام.هرچند که طی چند روز اخیر هم غذا نخوردم و فقط با سرم زنده ماندم . دفعه پیش هم در اثر اعتصاب غذا به کمای قندی رفتم و وقتی به من سرم زده بودند خواستم سرم را بکشم اما آن ها نگذاشتند و خواستند چند روز صبر کنم تا مشکلاتم حل شود.برای چه ؟به چه دلیل از مرخصی محروم بودم ؟ میگویند به این دلیل که سر موضع هستیمن نه قاتلم و نه سارق، بلکه فقط حقایق را نوشتم و به دلیل نوشتن حقایق حبس را تحمل کردم.آن ها که اختلاس کردند به مرخصی رفتند و آزاد شدند.سارقان مسلح آزاد شدند. خطر یک خبرنگار چیست؟اینکه واقعیت ها را می نویسد و مردم را نسبت به حقوق و تکالیف خود آشنا می کند؟من حق دارم کنار دخترم باشم و نگهداری من در این زندان ظلم مضاعف است زیرا من به اتهامات سیاسی مثل فعالیت تبلیغی علیه نظام دستگیر شدم و نگهداری من در کنار سارقان و اختلاس گران ظلمی مضاعف و تمام ظلم هایی که طی این هفت سال به من شده است مثل محرومیت من از مرخصی.روزنامه نگاری جرم نیست.
