The increasing damage to our environment caused by single-use plastic is inescapable. As an island community, we see the effects of our throwaway culture washing up every time we go to the beach - let's make a change! 

Many countries have started to ban plastic carrier bags - Guernsey needs to do the same! It's so easy to remember to bring reusable bags with you to the shop and it can make such a huge difference to our planet when we do.

We want the States of Guernsey to get on board and legislate against local shops from offering plastic carrier bags. Our future generations need us to take the plunge and it would be amazing to see Guernsey as a pioneer of such an important change.
