El Congreso Nacional aprobó la Ley ZEDE, Decreto Legislativo 236, 24 Enero 2013, acogiéndose bajo esta, la Ley Orgánica PROSPERA ZEDE (Honduras Prospera LLC,  Roatan Prospera).  

La aprobación/implementación de esta ley en nuestro territorio insular, tendrá impactos negativos culturales, sociales, ambientales, económicos y politicos.  

La figura de la expropiación de tierras explicada detalladamente en los artículos 25, 26 y 28, bajo la supuesta figura de uso publico y a justiprecio  para expandir el territorio de las ZEDE, para su eventual entrega a inversionistas extranjeros, resulta inaceptable. Convirtiéndose  en uno de los Decretos mas entreguista en la historia del país a capital extranjera, violentando nuestro derecho constitucional (en especial el articulo107 de nuestra Constitución), convenios internacionales y otros.

El incumplimiento del Convenio 169 de la OIT, negándonos nuestro derecho como pueblo isleño de habla Inglesa, a la consulta Previa, Libre e Informada; resulta cuestionable, preocupante y decepcionante al ser vetado nuestro derecho a opinar sobre nuestro futuro.  

Necesitamos tu ayuda,  firmando y compartiendo esta petición para lograr la derogación de la Ley ZEDE, porque no aspiramos a convertirnos en experiencias teóricas de supuestos inversionistas libertarios.  Como país democráticamente establecido.  Aspiramos seguir viviendo en democracia como forma de gobierno, prevaleciendo la toma de las mejores decisiones especialmente en una de las zonas de mayor riqueza  natural  como lo es la Zona Norte y por ende otras zonas del país, que están en la mira para convertirlos en ZEDE o Ciudades Modelos.

The National Congress approved the ZEDE Law, Legislative Decree 236, 24th January 2013, taking refuge under this Organic law PROSPERA ZEDE (HONDURAS PROSPERA LLC, Roatan-Prospera).  The application of this law in our island territory will have cultural, social, environmental, economical and political  negative impacts.  The figure of land expropriation explained in detail in articles 25, 26 and 28 under the supposed figure of public use and at fair value to expand the ZEDE territory, for it's eventual delivery to  foreign investors, is unacceptable. Becoming  one of the most surrendering Decrees in the history of our country to foreign capital, violating our constitutional law (especially article 107), international agreements and others.  

Non compliance with ILO Convention 169, denying us our right as an English-speaking island people to prior, free and informed consultation, it is questionable, worrying  and disappointing as well as our right to have an opinion about our future, is vetoed.

We need your help, signing and sharing this petition to achieve the repeal of the ZEDE Law, since we don't aspire to become theoretical experiences of supposed libertarian investors.  As a democratic established country we will continue to live in democracy as a form of government, where the best decisions will prevail. Especially in one of the areas of greatest national wealth such as the North Coast and therefore other areas of the country that are in the sights to become ZEDE or model cities.
