While we thank PAUSD leadership for their best efforts, we strongly believe that a new reopening plan for PAUSD secondary schools must be prepared and approved now.

We request a plan that:

1) Guarantees continuity of education. Specifically, the transition from Distance Learning only to Hybrid instruction should not result in any material change of teachers, class composition or schedule for students,

2) Guarantees substantial, albeit partial, in-person instruction to all students who wish to return to campus,

3) Continues to offer 100% Distance Learning for those students who choose it,

4) Can go into effect as soon as Santa Clara County moves out of the Purple Tier.

Multiple neighboring public school districts have approved reopening plans that meet these criteria, or have already implemented their plan, or work with their community to develop plans for reopening this school year.

Visit the in-person models page @ pausdparents.com to learn more.

Thank you.
