The participation of Armenia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest first began in 2007 which took place in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Armenian Public Television, a member organisation of the European Broadcasting Union, have been responsible for the selection process of their participants since their debut. The first representative to participate for the nation at the 2007 contest was Arevik with the song "Erazanq", which finished in second place out of seventeen participating entries, achieving a score of one hundred and thirty-six points. Since their debut, Armenia have never missed an edition of the contest and won in 2010 with the song "Mama" by Vladimir Arzumanyan. They hosted the contest at the Karen Demirchyan Complex in 2011. Their worst result to date was achieved by two representatives: Levon Galstyan in 2018 with his song "L.E.V.O.N" and Karina Ignatyan in 2019 with her song "Colours of Your Dream", where they both placed ninth.

Despite being included on the final list of participating countries, Armenia withdrew from the 2020 contest due to the Nagorno-Karabakh war. 13-year-old Maléna Fox had been internally selected to represent Armenia. The country's head of delegation David Tserunyan wrote on Instagram regarding Armenia's future Junior Eurovision participation: "Make no mistake, we will come back, stronger than ever."

So in conclusion, please let me know when you find out the second Armenia returns in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2021. Will Maléna Fox represent Armenia next year or will ARMTV select someone else between the ages of 9 and 14 to fly the Armenian flag in France?
