Time to speak up as a fanbase. For too long now our atmosphere has been declining. More and more people are coming to the ground for a day out and contributing nothing at all. To the extent that people seem reluctant to stand up even for a goal scored at times. Granted a minority of the 30,000 people have circumstances which may prevent them from actively getting involved and getting on their feet but there is most definitely not 25,000 people at our ground with them circumstances.

For years L1 and K1 was the place where the atmosphere would at least be decent but in recent years these blocks have also been diluted and since Jobber has not been there it has definitely died it’s death. Union FS have been doing tremendous work both for the community and in trying to revive the KOP (which should be the heartbeat of our stadium) but due to acoustics and a lack of space for more people to join in the corner of SK1 they are severely hamstrung. 

The trial of the singing section was immensely successful against Wigan and we have to urge the club to do something going forward for a massive season in 2020 which could possibly see European football. Other clubs have had to relocate season ticket holders for the sake of the atmosphere and our club have also relocated fans for other reasons in the past so it can most definitely be done.

Football without fans is nothing but football without atmosphere and passion is demoralising for both players and fellow fans. Brendan has come out twice this season to urge the fans to get behind the lads and to stay for 90 mins and a team like ours who are doing so so well should not need to ask twice for backing. We are the 12th man! 

If we can get enough support with this petition at the very least it will show the club that this is what the majority wants and I am pretty sure if the club really wants to do something about this issue they can.

PS. I am not part of union FS or any fan group so to speak. I have been a season ticket holder in K1 for over 8 years and have this season moved over to the KOP
