I have been a fan of the Pokemon games ever since I first played Red and Blue as a child. I have played every single entry in the franchise ever since. For the past 3 generations I have been giving Game Freak the benefit of the doubt thinking maybe they just needed to get used to the change to 3D. Now it is clear to me and many other fans that they simply don't care about the Pokemon franchise or its fans. They are simply continuing to churn out half finished games with removed features one after the other because they know that they will sell regardless. Every game starting with XY up until this point has been worse than the last, and like many other fans I have been part of the problem because I continue to give them my money in the hopes that perhaps the new installment will be the one where some passion or love has been put into. Every new installment my expectations are lower and lower, and yet somehow Game Freak finds a way to disappoint me. I believe the only way to save this franchise and return it to what fans both hardcore and casual love is for Nintendo and The Pokemon company to hand the reigns over to a new developer. One who perhaps is passionate about it and will try to make it the best it can be instead of just another shameless cash grab. If you are a fan of the Pokemon games, whether you re a hardcore fan that has been playing every single Pokemon game like me, or a casual one that is just returning to see how the latest Switch release holds up to nostalgia. I urge you please sign this petition and save them from the uncaring hands of Junichi Masuda and Shigeru Ohmori.
