The Trump Administration cancelled Temporary Protected Status (TPS) which protects over 400,000 people who cannot return to their countries. Temporary Protected Status (TPS) is a program that gives immigrants from countries that are experiencing armed conflict or a natural disaster the right to work and live in the United States. Congress has failed to provide TPS holders with a path to citizenship. Many of them have been here for decades; buying homes, raising families, and building careers.Cancelling TPS would continue the Trump administration's policies  of family separation and by sending many of them to countries they no longer know, we would put them at great risk.  

While TPS has been extended due to ongoing court cases against it's cancellation, it's continuation hangs in the balance. The House of Representatives passed the House Resolution No. 6 (H.R. 6) the Dream and Promise Act which protects holders of Temporary Protected Status (TPS), Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), and Deferred Enforced Departure (DED) and provides them a path to permanent residency. We want to keep pressure on the U.S. Senate to pass a similar version of the bill.
