The Government is planning to merger RNZ and TVNZ as a way to solve the problem that TVNZ is continuing to lose money.
TVNZ is a profit orientated television company aimed at its advertisers.
RNZ is a public service radio service and popular web site aimed at its listeners.
Their cultures and target audiences are totally different. If these organisations are merged the resulting organisation will likely destroy the quality radio and journalism that RNZ produces every day. Adverts will run on RNZ etc.

We the people demand that this planned merger be stopped.
