Why this petition matters

Started by Emily Gallant

Tim Hortons is known for being a strong Canadian brand, or so should I say it was. Over the past couple of years, I have seen them differ from their strategy as a simple and quick place to get a donut and coffee. Now they have endless amounts of options including burgers...yes BURGERS. To me, this simply goes against what I believe Tim Hortons is at its core.

And recently, they have gone too far. They have discontinued a classic and I simply cannot stand for this brand anymore. The classic I am referring to is their Chicken Noodle Soup. I am 21 years old and ever since I was a kid I remember getting this soup. For the past 8 years, I have been having their chicken noodle soup at least once a week if not more. So when I went to Tim Horton's a few weeks ago and saw that it was discontinued I was distraught (to say the least). I am not the only one upset by this, many of my friends are also die-hard chicken noodle soup lovers and are enraged by this as well. People have taken to Twitter to show their anger this tweet sums up the argument I am making perfectly: link to tweet

Hence this is why I have made this petition. If you feel as strongly as I do about Tim Horton's discontinuing chicken noodle soup I would encourage you to sign this petition.

It's time that Tim Horton's realizes that they are diverting from their strategy as a brand Canadians know and trust, and truly get back to the basics. All I want is a place where I can get my French vanilla, Timbits and eat my Chicken Noodle Soup. And if you aren't a chicken noodle soup lover, maybe your favorite item will be next on the chopping block (I wouldn't be surprised).

PS - the new canned chicken noodle soup Tim Horton's came out with simply does not compare.
