The Macal River is dying and it is our responsibility to ensure that it lives!

We want the Macal to get cleaned up. Anyone who is breaking any environmental laws needs to be held accountable and fix whatever they are doing that is damaging the river. Be it gov't, industry, private or community. There is always a wrong and a better way to do everything. This river has been "di tek lik" for too long. there is a meeting tonight in San Ignacio and anyone along the entire river should plan to attend. The Macal is the Belize River and is the lifesource for many communities, villages, towns and cities in Cayo and Belize District. We want this river closely monitored and action taken before, not after the fact.
