Why this petition matters

Started by Sneha Singh

Seven Singaporean men range from 38 to 51 years in age have been accused of colluding to rape four of their wives have been offered bail ranging from S$100,000 to S$200,000, subjected to multiple conditions. The husbands had drugged their wives so that the rapes could take place and most of the rapes were carried out at the victims' houses. The crimes were spread over eight years, from 2010 to 2018. Is THIS justice in your eyes? Being victims of rape for 8 years justified with $100,000?

I am calling out to everyone out there for your support regardless of your nationality, gender, race, age or religion to sign this petition for these men to be placed behind bars until justice is served. It's sickening that these men will be able to roam around without being punished for the sexual crimes they had committed. It's about time The parliament of Singapore implement harsher penalties against such sexual crimes to show that such crimes will not be tolerated.

If you've felt even an ounce of anger/frustration/disappointment for the way the parliament of Singapore has handled this situation, I urge you to sign this petition and demand that justice is served.

Rape is not just a women issue. It's about men who stop behaving like human being and start behaving like animals. It is not the victims who should suffer the stigma of rape, but the perpetrators......
