Why this petition matters

With the BBC being moved to a subscription service, a lot of programmes are likely to be behind a paywall from there on

But we, the UK population who are/were (depending on when you read this) being forced to pay the TV Licence fee (TAX) to finance their services demand that:

1) With the BBC licence fee gone, the full BBC Library (all TV and Radio and film (children's content included)) pre-subscription are all made available to the British people for free on the iplayer for the UK population to watch whenever we'd like (with the ability to download whenever we want as well).

1.A) if we notice there's programming missing from the iplayer, it must be put up on the iplayer within 48 hours of notifying the BBC or compensate the person contacting them (at least £1000 each time depending on how many times you've contacted the BBC for not doing so, and the more they procrastinate or refuse, the amount of compensation will double each time, this way, they'll have to upload the content or face hefty payouts that they will not be able to afford, and as a result will have to shut down

(for clarity, first time the compensation is £1000, second time £2000, third time £4000, forth time £8000 etc)

2) we can purchase a DVD, Blu Ray or CD of any series  of our choosing (the BBC cannot refuse to put them on DVD, Blu Ray or CD if requested by law, and if requested, they can only sell the DVD or Blu Ray at the cost price of making the DVD, they cannot profit from the programming we paid for with the licence fee.

3) Copyright for all BBC programming (pre-subscription) becomes copyright of the state, as we paid for the programmes, we should then own them, nor should the BBC be able to profit off the programming we paid for.

4) The Government at no point will inject any public money into the BBC to keep it afloat, it survives in the free market as would any other network

5) If the BBC ends up shutting down due to funding reasons, ratings etc after moving to a subscription service, then the state assumes copyright of all BBC content and will in tern create an Iplayer type service where then all the programming the BBC owns through the paywall is made available to the UK population for free

6) all programming (Pre- Subcription) must be made available on Google play, Youtube, Itunes etc, and by law the BBC must provide said programme for free if a resident of the UK
