Why this petition matters

The people of Ireland voted to establish the 32nd government, comprising of a coalition between Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael, with Micheal Martin as our elected Taoiseach.

Since election, we have seen this government lead the country into three separate Level 5 lockdowns, each one having a detrimental effect on not only the economy, but also the physical and mental health of the nation. These lockdowns have been proven not to work, and with no clear end date in sight, the Irish people have grown increasingly concerned and frustrated

We have been given no assurance that this lockdown will not be extended past April 5th, yet this is already the third extension in this lockdown alone.

The Irish government is designed to serve and protect the people of Ireland, yet the decisions which they have taken have flown in the face of this mandate. It is now a decision for the opposition in Dáil Éireann, led by Sinn Fein, to table a motion of no-confidence in our government. However, we feel that this decision should rest with the Irish people and it’s constituents

Here is your opportunity to have your voice heard.

If you feel that the government's policy of restrictions and guidelines have been disproportionate or misguided, we welcome you to sign this petition.
