Introduce a ‘Not Drinking’ emoji this Dry Jan
Why this petition matters
This Dry January, we're launching a campaign to call time on the drunk emoji and introduce a ‘Not Drinking’ emoji.
If you type ‘drunk’ into your phone, you’ll be prompted to use the 'drunk face' emoji. If you type sober you’ll get ‘no results’.
This Dry January we're asking why if we can have a 'drunk face' emoji can’t we have a ‘Not Drinking’ emoji too?
We believe there’s nothing wrong with enjoying alcohol. It’s just we know that almost all of the country now has a flexible approach to drinking. The same way we do with meat and dairy options following the rise of vegan and vegetarian diets.
This new tribe of 'ABVarious' drinkers shows the UK is moving away from binge drinking, and looking for products that have a benefit on our mental health, waistline, and of course, the environment. We also know that 6.5 million people are doing Dry January this year in the UK alone.
Help us call time on the drunk emoji by signing our petition, and for the sake of Dry January let's not be denied the wonders of short form expression that are emojis.
