I want to help implement a tangible and reliable way for young students living in the dorms to utilize to help protect themselves. Colleges mainly focus on giving presentations that explore topics regarding sexual violence and consent. They do a great job at educating and enlightening students that are willing to listen and learn, but those speeches won’t help someone unwilling to listen.  
According to statistic from the website RAINN, 13% of all students experience some form of rape or sexual assault and women ages 18-24 are at an even greater risk. I want to give students living in the dorms readily available resources to help prevent sexual violence. Any amount of effort could help save someone from the lifetime trauma of sexual violence.
