I care because I knew him personally as a friend at Lakeside Academy on Oakland Drive. We had each other's backs up until I discharged. About 7 or 8 months later, I started hearing rumors about a death at Lakeside Academy. At first, I thought that it was bound to happen at some time so decided to investigate further online. I was at first in shock when I found out who it was, but that quickly turned into anger. I realized that he died from the same illegal restraint that I got put in my first week there. This needs to End Now! I am tired of being traumatized in life by the people who are supposed to be HELPING me NOT HURTING me. It NEEDs to stop. Sequel Needs to be shut down because all the staff that are being hired, come in knowing how to do these dirty restraints. On multiple occasions I have seen kids being dragged into bedrooms because the staff know there are NO CAMERAS. I am traumatized whenever I hear a Scream or SHRIEK. I get flashbacks. Sequel Services sends staff who want you as in students to know that no matter what you do, They are better in every way possible. If you counter that fact, you might just end up with the whole side of your left face, full of carpet burn. I have seen that on another student personally. It is not just Lakeside we have to worry about. Out all over Michigan, there are placements that use sequel services. One of my close friends from a past placement said that the only reason that she moved there, was because she was RAPED BY A STAFF AT WOLVERINE. This needs to stop NOW! I'm TIRED of hearing of placement injustices ON TOP OF all the racial injustices all at once. We need to shut down sequel services ASAP! There are currently inside my head, PLENTY of word that I would LOVE to say about this topic, but their may be a good lot of younger people reading this. PLEASE HELP ME SHUT SEQUEL SERVICES DOWN!
