I am a teenager from Buffalo New York fantasy island has been on Grand island for over 50 years. It's a beloved amusement park that many visit every year. There are countless memories from people of all different generations. For many years fantasy island was run by someone named Martin a few years ago he sold fantasy island to Apex Parks because he was going into retirement. Fantasy island was then sold to Apex parks at first it seemed fine since Apex parks owns other amusement parks like Indiana Beach. But after a few years of poor management from Apex people became angry with the way the parks being run. It had nothing to do with the park itself there are many people who love it to this day but the park was being run by Apex Parks who did a terrible disgusting job and just made customers angry. And now we have discovered that Apex Parks is closing fantasy island. We don't know much about why it's closing or their reasoning. But what we do know is that they have been selling rides that have been there for decades. And Apex parks other amusement park Indiana Beach is also closing.and I went to Indiana beach a few years ago and it was incredibly busy almost as busy as Darien lake is so  toit had have been very successful but like fantasy island Apex Parks ran it into the ground. Many are extremely upset about the closing of fantasy island I personally have been going there since I was born. my family and I have had season passes there for as long as I can remember and spent a large portion of our summer there. Some of my earliest memories are at fantasy island. If you never have been it's a quaint amusement park with large and small rides and is definitely fun for the whole family including a western town where when you're a little kid it's one of the most magical places around. They were rides big and small including the silver comet which is the big wooden roller coaster there which is one of my favorite coasters I've ever been on and I've been on a lot of coasters. The worst part is the historical significance this park has it's been around for over 50 years and my parents remember going there as children too.I know this petition probably won't change anything and the park will just still stay closed but please sign it just to show your support and to show you that you love fantasy island. I just wish Apex parks would sell the park to someone else instead of selling the rides like the disgusting company they are. it might not have been a huge Park like Darien lake with record-breaking roller coasters but it had history it had charm it made you feel like you were back in time which is something Darien lake and other parks could never do. I really hope I get to go back there someday please sign this petition so many more generations can have memories at fantasy island. Fun Wow!
