Why this petition matters

Started by Let's Vote Wisconsin

Hello! Our names are Simone and Anika. We are two HS students from Oshkosh, WI. We have started Let's Vote Wisconsin, a nonpartisan youth voting initiative with the mission to empower students to become educated voters in local, state, and national elections.

One of the main goals of our organization is to get legislation passed that requires Wisconsin schools to teach one hour of voting education to K12 students each school year. We are currently working to form a bill. From there, we hope a local representative will sponsor our bill in the Wisconsin House of Representatives.

We believe that voting is a duty of all United States citizens, and in Wisconsin, the youth vote holds more sway than in any other state. Help us empower students to become educated voters by signing this petition!
