This petition was started by Katlin Barrett-Huff to not only improve her access to the school but several other students’ access to the school. 

Many of the doors in Skyline High School are not currently accessible to all. The most problematic areas are the gym doors, main office, and classroom doors. We are creating this petition to urge Skyline’s administration to divert funds to this cause. Right now, several students are not able to easily access certain areas of the school. This causes restrictions, as it does not allow all students to fully participate—students with disabilities miss sporting events, the start of classes, and have trouble getting into the building—and it is violating the Americans with Disabilities Act. This does not represent Skyline’s values or show inclusion to all students, and it needs to be changed.
