STOP Tiny Hope Village (Tiny homes for the homeless)
Why this petition matters
***ROBERTSON COUNTY RESIDENTS SIGN***
We are in full support of every American having a house to call home. Everyone deserves a safe place to lay their head at night. But location is extremely important. There are establishments that are working great, the Austin area has a Tiny Home Village that is prospering, residents are flourishing.
Mr. Kiniry purchased this property solely because the price was low in the country. He has residents from Bryan/College Station ready to be housed here. Housing people at this location will be nothing short of a failure, just plainly setting them up to fail. There are no jobs, no medical facilities, and no supermarkets even close to this area. There is one small convenient store about one mile away, which is in walking distance. This route goes by the city park which has a playground, swimming pool, splash pad, lake, etc. This route also passes a daycare. This subdivision/village needs to be closer to amenities that its residents will need.
This village will NOT HOUSE VETERANS, NO CHILDREN, NO SINGLE MOTHERS, NO SINGLE FATHERS. Only adults or married couples. Will the people living at Tiny Hope Village be subject to a background check? Also, what agency will be patrolling Tiny Hope Village? Will sheriffs’ deputies be patrolling that area?
Please help us convince county officials and Mr. Kiniry with Tiny Hope Village this is not the best location. Do we need to help fund raise to buy property that is best suitable?
