Following the competition of Disney's acquisition of most 21st Century Fox assets in March 2019, many have been skeptical about this move as they have expressed concerns about the fate of the acquired film studios including 20th Century Fox, 20th Century Fox Television, Fox Searchlight Pictures, and Blue Sky Studios. On January 17, 2020, it was reported that Disney has decidedly scrapped the 'Fox' name from the 21st Century Fox assets that it has acquired, effectively renaming 20th Century Fox to 20th Century Studios and Fox Searchlight Pictures to Searchlight Pictures. 

20th Century Fox is one of the most iconic brands in the film industry and it is a shame that Disney has decided to kill it off after 85 years. "20th Century Studios" feels like it has no significance and memorability. Without the 'Fox' name, what would we use to associate with the beloved franchises from that studio? It would just not be the same without that classic name.

The 'Fox' name for film studios should be associated with William Fox, one of 20th Century Fox's founders, not right-wing stances from Fox News and other broadcasting owned and operated by the Murdochs.

Bring back the 'Fox' to the film studio company names and make them iconic like they were before.
