By signing this document you are showing your support for the proposed developments of Staithes Athletic club. 

A local company who came in to save the club at the final hour when the doors where about to be shut has stated from day one the ambition to provide us with a fantastic modern new club house. They have put together plans to do this and knock down the old club building houses on the land to fund the development. 

We are so fortunate to have someone with the experience to come in and develop our site in order to give Staithes Sports (both cricket and football) a long standing continuation for future generations. The catchment area for the sports teams goes far and wide and is is essential the modernisation of the facilities happens in order for it to continue to provide both children and adults a future in local sport as well as a communal bar facility where by locals can enjoy the sports viewing too. 

There has been recent objection to the plans which could end up with the club been closed down and that would mean the end of sports in Staithes and the full site been sold to a property developer which I'm sure no body in the local community wants to see.
