Why this petition matters

Most of the people in India began their entertainment leisure with the coming of Television and as day grew by, all old-young started to watch TV shows and movies on the basis of their interest. But not all people were comfortable with some kind of shows and movies and due to which a strategy was implemented termed as "Censorship", under which all the channels which telecasts TV shows has to follow some rules and ethics and Every movie released on Television and theatres had to pass their film through a Board of Directors who will certify their movie.

Due to the censorship strategy, only a minimal number of people who didn't had a broad mentality were happy, but the others had to keep up with whatever the channels telecasting cause there was no other alternative.

With the coming of Internet and the rise of OTT platforms, people find a different way of enjoying their leisure time and they didn't had to stick with the Television who didn't wanted to, as they were getting to binge watch their shows and movies on the basis of their own interest, and yes, without the headache of censoring.

Being a democratic country, people should have the right to watch what they desire, maybe television is a closed platform as there's a fixed schedule but that's not with the OTT platforms, and with the coming of Internet Censorship, the rights of watching our own shows and movies will be getting snatched.

So, with this change.org petition, I want to send a message to all the governing bodies who are beginning the Internet Censorship strategy, please we request do not act on it, through I may have not been able to clarify much why we don't want the Internet Censorship, but if you read the supporters, you will find people giving correct justifications.
