Netflix has released a show by the name of “The First Temptation of Christ” where they mock Jesus by making Him out to be a homosexual. Christians all around the world believe Jesus Christ is their Lord and savior and died on the cross to save us from our sins. We love and respect our Lord very much. As any Christian knows, Jesus Christ is the only one to not be tempted into sin ; in fact He beat sin and death. Jesus Sacrificed His life so that we may have eternal life, salvation and so our sins may be washed and forgiven.

This Netflix series completely mocks the Bible and mocks our Lord and savior by painting him out to be something that He never was and never will be. It seems like the world can get away with anything as long as it’s against the name of Jesus Christ, why don’t they do this to Mohammad, Buddha, or any other figure from any other religion - why is it always Jesus Christ? Everyone has freedom of religion and truthfully this shouldn’t be okay to do to anyone’s faith, not just Christianity but for the sake of the argument let’s really consider the fact that this world finds no shame or guilt in mocking Jesus Christ. If I’m being very honest, I truly believe that if this show was mocking any other faith it would’ve been cancelled already - in fact I think Netflix wouldn’t even have allowed it on their network. This isn’t some light joke, it’s mocking Christian Faith, ‘rewriting’ the Bible, and corrupting the story of Jesus Christ — It goes completely against our beliefs and it really spits on every single Christian from every corner of the world.

I believe in freedom of speech but this is a full distasteful attack on all Christians. We have freedom of religion and we are allowed to be upset about this, there are so many people who are hurt and very saddened to see Netflix allow something like this on their platform. It is ethically and morally wrong to do something like this. What would make a person wake up one day and think about filming a show about a gay Jesus Christ, like what goes through a persons mind to even consider doing something like that — they must really have a hate and blatant disrespect for Christianity. It must be taken down immediately, please sing this petition and donate what you can to help us get this show removed immediately!
